Event
Born in 1987 with 166 daring participants at the start, the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel has grown year after year to become the bike race par excellence. Every year, there are more than 30,000 requests for 8,000 available spots.
There are three routes of the Maratona dles Dolomites - Enel: the shortest route, the "Sellaronda", covers the four passes around the Sella with 55 km and 1,780 metres of altitude difference; the "Middle" course is 106 km long and 3,130 metres of altitude difference; and the "Maratona" course is 138 km long and 4,230 metres of altitude difference. The breathtaking views of the majestic Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site, frame the legendary Campolongo, Pordoi, Sella, Gardena, Giau and Falzarego-Valparola passes that have made cycling history.
Traffic-free roads, 6 hours of live coverage on RAI, over 1,500 volunteers, Ladin tradition and culture, and a unique atmosphere make this event much more than just a race.
